La Verrière
La région tourangelle est riche en patrimoine comme en témoigne sa gastronomie, ses vignes, ses chateaux de la Loire et ses monuments Art Déco. Un inventaire architectural tourangeau témoigne de l’accueil particulièrement favorable de l’Art Déco au XIXème siècle et pour ces formes modernistes. Courant durant lequel le verre connaît un nouveau tournant dû à l’émergence d’une génération pour qui l’art et la technique sont intimement liés.
La verrière propose de mettre à l’honneur la région Tourangelle et ses nombreux vins en valorisant le savoir- faire du verre local et son héritage artisanal.
The Touraine region is rich in heritage as evidenced by its gastronomy, its vineyards, its Loire Valley castles and its Art Deco monuments. An architectural inventory in Tours testifies to the particularly favorable reception of Art Deco in the 19th century and for these modernist forms. A current during which glass experienced a new turning point due to the emergence of a generation for whom art and technique are intimately linked. The glass roof offers pride of place to the Tourangelle region and its many wines by promoting local glass know-how and its artisanal heritage.
